今天从南五环办事回来，碰上了空前的大塞车，天阴沉沉的，肚子叽哩咕噜地抗议个不停，心情也跟着一落千丈……忽然，DJ GRACY放的一首英文歌，让我为之一振，所有的不快一扫而光——不知道该怎么确切描述这首歌带给我的感受——就像是当年第一次听到Aretha Franklin那首脍炙人口的Chain Of Fools，那种让人上瘾的灵魂唱腔，那种让人回味的复古曲风，都让你欲罢不能，于是赶紧记下了这首歌的名字——《Mercy》，回来上网一查，原来并不是像我想的那样是个黑人女歌手，而是一位年轻的英国女歌手，真是长江后浪推前浪啊～～赶紧到网上淘到了她的新专辑，其他歌感觉也都不错的，在这里隆重推荐给大家，希望各位也能分享好音乐带来的极致享受……

『原名Amy Ann Duffy的Duffy，1986年出生于威尔斯，并在一个海边小镇长大，但她的歌声却有如被1960年代Soul女伶灵魂附体。小时候Duffy就开始唱歌，但只受到她父母收藏的一些经典唱片音乐所影响。在十多岁的时候，她一直和一些乐队一起演出。2004年，她的歌声引起了著名独立厂牌Rough Trade老板Jeannette Lee的注意，他撮合前Suede吉他手Bernard Butler与Duffy合作，这两个人一起开始创作音乐。她的首支单曲“Rockferry”于2007年发表，融合了1960-70年代Motown之声的Soul Pop复古风格引起了极大轰动，被多家英国媒体看作是又一个Amy Winehouse式的天才少女。2008年3月，由Bernard Butler联合创作并监制的首张专辑《Rockferry》面世。这首《Mercy》获得最新英国UK单曲榜TOP10的第一名。』

这首歌是Edie Brickell的专辑《Picture Perfect Morning》里的，最早在国内散播开还要多谢当年的Win95盗版盘（据传是盖茨点名收录这首歌的MV作为多媒体播放演示的，甚至有人说在这首MV中发现了疑似老盖的拿报人）有人说她的歌很适合在夏天的午后听，因为她稚气却不幼稚的童声可以抵抗热天午後的烦躁，我深有同感，同时，从她的歌声中，总能感受到那种安抚内心所有不平静的温柔力量。当我疲惫、烦乱、委屈、矛盾的时候，耳畔总会想起那句爽撤心扉的 “Good times, bad times, give me some of that”……

Edie Brickell，1966年出生在德州，在加入The New Bohemians（新波西米亚人）之前读的是教会大学，Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars和Ghost Of A Dog是她和这个乐队发行的两张专辑，前者取得了很大的成功，后者则没能再接再厉，间接导致乐队的解散。Picture Perfect Morning是她离开乐队后的第一张Solo，虽然成功没有Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars那么大，但对于生活幸福的Edie这已经是令她满足的成绩了，这张专辑十分好听。她最新的一张作品Volcano更是将她后天勤奋练习出来的吉他技艺展示的淋漓尽致，可以说，Edie虽然是作品不多的歌手，但张张都是值得推荐的好东西。
